Smart Battery Sense is a wireless battery voltage and temperature sensor for Victron MPPT Solar Chargers.With voltage and temperature sense in place, batteries will be better charged; improving charging-efficiency and prolonging battery life.

Energy Meters are typically used in an Energy Storage System, to measure the power and energy of the entire application at the distribution box and minimises energy import or export to the grid. The AC Current sensor is a simple external current sensor used to measure AC Current, Power (VA) and calculate energy of a PV Inverter connected to the AC input or output of a Multi or Quattro. These values can then be displayed and sent to the VRM-website by the Color Control. The two measurement wires can be connected to the AUX and/or temperature sense input of a Multi or Quattro.

The CAN-bus Temp. Sensor is a battery temperature sensor for the Buck-Boost DC/DC converter range and is an essential accessory when the Buck-Boost DC/DC converter is connected to a LFP lithium battery. Temperature sensing is needed when LFP lithium batteries are charged at low temperatures. The charge current to a lithium battery has to be reduced once the battery temperature drops below 5 degrees and the charge current has to stop when the temperature drops below zero. The CAN-bus Temp. Sensor takes care of this. It measures the lithium battery temperature and sends this to the Buck-Boost DC/DC converter. The Buck-Boost DC/DC converter will reduce or stop charge when the battery temperature drops too low. In addition to this, the CAN-bus Temp. Sensor can also be connected to the temperature sensor terminal in a Multi or Quattro, so the Multi or Quattro can reduce or stop charging when the battery temperature drops too low.

This optional temperature sensor is designed for the BMV-712 and BMV-702 battery monitors. It measures the main battery temperature to optimise charging and lets you set high and low temperature alarms.
